BC Places Tries Out Ready's In-Seat Ordering Solution, Tailor-Made for Stadiums and Event & Entertainment Venues

Vancouver, BC — July 18, 2018 — The payment service experts at Ready have developed an in-seat ordering service that Vancouver’s own BC Place is testing as a pilot project. 

BC Place is the largest multipurpose venue of its kind in its namesake province of British Columbia. The venue hosts professional sports, exhibitions, and live entertainment in the heart of downtown Vancouver and is home to the BC Lions Football Club and the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. It also houses the BC Sports Hall of Fame.

BC Place provides the highest level of hospitality to over one million guests each year. To further enhance the fan experience through their tremendous offerings and service, BC Place is piloting Ready’s in-seat ordering service in a section of the Stadium.

Here’s how it works:

During a game or event, patrons can scan a QR code located on their seat. Here, visitors will view a menu, select the food and beverages to order, and submit their payment. The order is sent directly to the vendor’s POS. Once their order is prepared, a food runner will deliver the items right to the visitor’s seat. Now guests can enjoy a juicy hot dog and cold beer without having to miss a second of the action.
